There will be stops to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Val de Bagnes. The Grand Saint Bernard Pass is snowed in for up to 6 months of the year. This transalpine crossing was so dangerous that some monks established a hospice on the pass in 1049, to provide rescue to travelers lost in the snow.
