You will take the steep, second section of the cable car, up to the altitude of 3777 m (12,391 ft), and finally a lift to the summit platform of the Aiguille du Midi, at an altitude of 3842 m (12,604 ft). From the top, the Aiguille du Midi and its many terraces offer a 360° vista on the French, Swiss and Italian Alps. For those who have no fear of heights, try the ‘Pas dans le vide’ (Step into the Void), a 5-side glass box, with over 1000 m (3280 ft) under your feet! Your first ascent is with the first section of Aiguille du Midi cable car. You will discover the daunting Aiguilles de Chamonix from the altitude of 2317 m (7601 ft), the starting point of an optional hike accompanied by a professional mountain guide to Montenvers Ice Sea.
